Tanabata - a day later

What do you do with the Tanabata wishes? Once upon a time, you'd take it to a temple or throw it into a river. But these days with the litter going on, you're supposed to wrap it in white paper and you throw it away. That's the word from Japan. Either way, Tanabata is special since in the end, will the wishes come true? Maybe. Maybe not, but you do get to express those wishes and go through a simple ritual, which makes you think about them and gives a glimmer of some new reality. Yeah, I said it in different words yesterday, but this is a new day, and it's where I'm at with it. Enjoy Tanabata.
