Walmart Trampling Live Saving Effort

Crazy. Aside from gunfire at Toys R Us in So Cal - Palm Desert, where two people died (yeah, first you gotta ask, why are you packing to a Toys R Us?), this 34 year old worker was trampled at a Wal Mart. This video is disturbing since you see live saving efforts on this cell phone video. The man actually passed away in the hospital. I don't know if you need to see this, but this is ridiculous and shows everyone how stupid Black Friday hype is. Maybe it's just this year, when people are fighting to save a buck. It happens at concerts, fires, and maybe soccer matches, but at Wal-Mart, and while the dude was trying to unlock the doors? Now I realize why shops like Staples or Office Depot moderate how many can come in at a time. I know most clubs do this too, but that's another story.

While the video is disturbing, I find all the fat WalMart customers pressing against the glass doors, waiting for their $1.99 flat screen tv's and $0.99 laptops sickening, while a man is dying on the floor.

You are exactly right. The store should only have let people enter in controlled numbers. I will not shop at Walmart or Target or any store that is aggressively anti-union because they don't care about their workers' welfare or safety, and this is a symptom. The public was in danger too during that incident.

Anti Union... is that a reason? I suppose it could be since they would have rules governing and enforcing actions. Maybe it's amt of employees per customer rules, who knows. But I did see something about unions saying it shouldn't have happened and so on. Maybe the line-up is something a union would enforce... also the hiring of a temp might be another non union thing, although I'm sure the dude did nothing wrong, except try and unlock a door.
